The Kidney Walks are the largest walks in Colorado and New Mexico to fight kidney disease with nearly 3,000 attendees. Attendees include the kidney and transplant community, donors, recipients, dialysis patients, families and friends, medical professionals and the entire community who come out to celebrate life and support NKF’s mission to educate the public about kidney disease and increase awareness of organ transplantation

World Kidney Day is a global health awareness campaign focusing on the importance of the kidneys and reducing the frequency and impact of kidney disease and its associated health problems worldwide. World Kidney Day is observed annually on the 2nd Thursday in March.

Waitlisted patients, caregivers, family and friends are provided tools and strategies for the patient to create their story, to share their story and find a living kidney donor
